Editor, Cinematographer, Photographer, Designer:
Storyteller
Heavily influenced by my background in geography — the interdisciplinary study of places and the relationships between people and their environments — I gravitate toward stories that advocate for climate change education and solutions. I also tackle diverse topics to highlight the complexities of life on Earth, bringing people together in the process.
While I specialize in post-production editing, I also have expertise in cinematography, photography, and design. Eager to lend my skills wherever needed on a project, I always welcome collaboration.
Holding myself to high standards and undaunted by the unknown, I was the first student to complete the new cinematography curriculum at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In 2023, I placed first in the Hearst Journalism Awards Multimedia Narrative competition and the Associated Collegiate Press Awards; I placed third at the BEA Festival of Media Arts and for the White House News Photographer Association; I was selected as a Newhouse Scholar for academic and extracurricular achievement.
I’m currently a researcher and editor of a short-form documentary that captures the voices of residents affected by environmental injustice in Niagara Falls. The project uses Canon AMLOS technology to facilitate online cross-cultural collaboration. Connecting colleagues for a full-scale production between Puerto Rico and New York, the project depicts a major issue happening in two regions.
Growing up with four older brothers, I learned resilience, resourcefulness, and tenacity quickly. I developed a keen sense of observation, as I absorbed wisdom from my brothers’ life experiences. Today, my sense of observation manifests itself in my ability to see profound stories and my unrelenting determination to tell them.
